Here is a step-by-step guide to help you e-file your ITR for the financial year 2021-22 (assessment year 2022-23): Step 1: Gather all the required documents Before you start filing your ITR, you should gather all the necessary documents such as your Form 16, bank statements, investment proofs, etc. Step 2: Register on the Income Tax Department website If you haven’t already, you need to register yourself on the Income Tax Department website by visiting https://filemydoc.com/. Click on the ‘Register Yourself’ option and provide your details such as name, PAN, date of birth, etc. Step 3: Download Form 26AS Form 26AS is a consolidated statement that contains details of all the tax deducted on your behalf by your employer or other entities.
