yamaha's heater attachment concept blooms into a flame-shaped flower

Yamaha Corporation and Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd collaborate on an outdoor tool project called Bon-Flame, combining their expertise in musical instruments and mobility. This innovative concept design revolves around an outdoor heater attachment that utilizes the properties of bimetal to create a captivating experience. The bimetallic sheet, composed of two metals with different expansion rates, changes shape when exposed to heat. As the sheet heats up, a small ball-shaped bimetal at the end rotates and unfolds like a flower, ultimately transforming into a flame-like shape. The metal plate emits far-infrared heat and glows red, providing warmth while offering a visually soothing effect.

The Bon-Flame attachment by Yamaha converts the flame of a single burner into far-infrared heat, making it an ideal tool for warming the body during outdoor activities. The design by the Japanese multinational company serves a practical purpose but at the same time enhances the visual ambiance with its transformation, reflecting the company’s commitment to enriching outdoor experiences. This project embodies the essence of fireside fun, highlighting the role of fire in outdoor settings for warmth and cooking. The combination of Yamaha’s distinctive design perspective and the natural charm of fire aims to make outdoor activities more enjoyable and engaging.
