Download This Procedural Capacitor Generator Made With Blender

The setup lets you change the colors and sizes of the capacitors, customize labels and text, and even bend them 90 degrees.

Power Electronics Engineer and Blender enthusiast Sam Aldhaher, who previously blew our minds by showing how Blender can be used for solving physics equations, continues bringing real-life technologies into the digital realm with a new exciting project. aircon capacitor

This time, the creator presented a neat Geometry Nodes-powered procedural generator that lets its user quickly and easily create electrolytic through-hole capacitors. Moreover, it is also possible to tweak the generated capacitor's color, size, and dimensions, adjust its geometry features, customize labels and text written on it, and even bend them 90 degrees to better suit your needs. The generator supports Blender 3.6 LTS and Blender 4.0 and can be downloaded via Sam's Gumroad and Blender Market pages.

Recently, Sam also showcased a procedural toroidal inductor generator set up with Geometry Nodes. According to the author, the plan is to release procedural generators for electronic components and hardware throughout the year, meaning we'll most likely see even more fantastic projects very soon.
