UPDATE, NOVEMBER 9, 11:30 A.M.: The Orange County Coroner's Office has determined that Jonas Bevacqua, co-founder of Lifted Research Group (LRG) Clothing, died of natural causes, according to the LA Times.

The Coroner's Office also revealed that Bevacqua, 34 at the time of death, was sick with pneumonia and myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle). Bevacqua was discovered dead on May 30 in his Laguna Beach home.

ORIGINAL POST, MAY 31, 1:36 P.M.: According to the Twitter account of online storefront Karmaloop, Jonas Bevacqua, co-founder and creative director of the Irvine-based clothing company LRG (Lifted Research Group), was found dead in Los Angeles this morning at his Laguna Beach home yesterday.

Details on the cause of death are still unknown. Bevacqua was  34 years old.

Founded in 1999 by Bevacqua and action-sportswear alum Robert Wright, LRG (or L-R-G) is known for its urban streetwear clothing and accessories and is especially popular with the hip-hop and skate subcultures.

Entrepreneur placed LRG at No. 5 on its 2007 “Hot 500” list of fastest-growing companies, with 2006 sales coming in at a whopping $150 million. LRG also sponsors and promotes indie recording artists, as well as a skateboarding team.

Jonas is survived by his dedicated family, including his fiancé, son, seven siblings and his mother and father, whom he loved and respected above all.
