A couple of years ago, the company began hosting a second iteration of their sales event—called Prime Big Deal Days—in October. As always, we're paying special attention the best Prime Day kitchen deals—to help you wade through the thousands of on-sale products to find the ones that are actually worth shopping.
In case you missed it: Prime Big Deals Day (or October Prime Day as it's colloquially known) is a two-day sales event happening for Prime Members October 8 and 9. We'll be offering continually-updated deals coverage throughout the sales event, all the way up until it ends at midnight on October 10. Right now, we're covering the early kitchen deals we're seeing in the lead-up to the event, in case you want to avoid the chaos of the day and shop that deal on a Vitamix or Le Creuset cookware early. Good Prime Day sales have a tendency to sell out, so check our coverage often to make sure you can get to them before the click-hungry crowds.
Everything you need to know to get the very best kitchen deals
Prime Day isn’t a federal holiday yet, but Amazon sure is trying. Anyone can save at least a few bucks on items at Amazon and competing retailers through midnight on Wednesday October 9—no coupon required. But here’s the thing about those really big discounts: During Amazon’s big sales events, the very best deals are exclusive to Prime Members. If you aren’t one, you can still sign up for a free 30-day trial right now and take advantage of the trending deals as they happen (and we won’t even judge if you cancel before the trial is over). Just be sure you’re logged into your new Prime account by the time you get to checkout.
The other thing to be aware of on Prime Day? Lightning deals. Some of the best bargains during the Prime Day event are limited-time offers: Amazon offers a limited number of discounts over a short period of time. Lighting deals are one of those perks that are exclusive to Amazon Prime members. Again, we'll be monitoring the best lightning deals in the kitchen and home space, so check back here for constantly-updated kitchen and home coverage if you don't want to wade through the tech deals on Air Pods, Kindles, and Echo Dots (check out the coverage our friends' at Wired are doing if you are interested in those tech deals).
