Slide 6 - If you receive an email invitation to a Zoom meeting, the invite will include a link which is generally in a different colour to the rest of the text and is underlined, beginning https:// (see example below) Click on the link in your email invite. JOINING A ZOOM MEETING
Slide 7 - Click on Open Zoom Meetings
Slide 8 - Select Join a Meeting
Slide 9 - The Meeting ID will have been provided in the email invitation – type here or copy (Ctrl C) and paste (Ctrl V) Enter your name Click in the box if you want to be remembered for future meetings Click Join
Slide 10 - Enter the meeting password (again this will have been provided in the email invitation) then click on Join Meeting
Slide 11 - If you are the meeting host, click here to start the meeting If you are a meeting attendee, please wait for the host to start the meeting When the host has started the meeting, the onscreen message changes
Slide 12 - You can switch your camera and microphone on and off by clicking on the arrowheads alongside the icons on your Zoom toolbar Zoom opens in Speaker view where the person speaking takes up the main part of the screen – in this example Bec only has her microphone on Zoom Tool Bar
Slide 13 - To see participants on the screen in tile view, click on the waffle and select See All. Click on the waffle again to revert to Speaker view You can see that in this example, Jayne has her microphone on mute. Right click on your own tile to unmute and to see other options
Slide 14 - On the Zoom tool bar, the Participants icon tells you how many people are in the meeting. Click on the Participants icon to open up the side menu, showing who is on the call and their camera and microphone status You can unmute yourself or raise your hand from here

Slide 16 - Click on the Chat icon to open the Chat panel – ideal for asking questions You can type messages to everyone in the meeting or to individuals.
